I used digital technology in a number of ways to complete my AS coursework, and through doing this I managed to achieve a professional finish to my work.
Firstly, I used a high-quality digital camera to shoot the images of my artist that I wanted to use in my magazine. Using a digital camera allowed me to take an unlimited number of photos, view them instantly, and transfer them to a computer so that they could immediately be edited and used in my work. By using technology in this sense saved me a lot of time as the digital aspects allowed the transition from shooting to screen to be efficient and quick. This meant I could then spend longer focusing on the post-production of my photographs, and allowed me to concentrate on achieving a professional-looking finish.
Throughout my coursework process I used Adobe editing products like Photoshop and After Effects. Although it took a while to familiarise myself with how the products work, using the computer to edit all of my work was useful in many ways.
